Oriens Composition Competition 2025 Result

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants and our honorable judge, Professor Shih-Hui Chen, in the Oriens Composition Competition 2025. This year, we received works from talented composers aged 15 to 25, from Lithuania and numerous cities in the USA.   

This year, our judging committee has decided to have only one winner in the age group of 18~25, and no award is given for the age group 18 and below. We appreciate the creativity shown in this year's submissions and look forward to even more inspiring works in 2026.  Younger participants remain a valued and celebrated part of this competition.


Winner:
Ages 18-25 Winner: “And the Remnants of a Temple” piano trio by Jenny Xiong, California, USA — Cash award of $600 and live performance in Spring 2026. Link to the winning work and performing video will be updated when availalbe.
