Tales from the Opera for Curious Ears - Family Concert at CLC

Opera is full of fascinating stories—but what if you don’t understand German, French, or Italian? No worries! This time, Trio Oriens has invited soprano Carla Hammock to guide us through highlights from operas by Mozart, Bizet, and Puccini, sharing their stories in a lively and engaging way.

What’s The Magic Flute really about? Is the Queen of the Night a tiger mom? What do opera heroines say when they’re head-over-heels in love? And what’s the real story between Carmen and the bullfighter? This concert will explain it all—clearly, playfully, and accessibly. Perfect for curious minds of all ages!

This concert also runs a toy drive to benefit Child Advocates. Please bring a toy or a new book to the concert. You can also donate cash, and we will have a 50% matching fund to donate children's books if the minimum is met.
